Commerce Built for India — Not a Global Platform Trying to Fit
Razorpay, UPI Autopay, COD with RTO scoring, GST with e-invoicing to IRP, WhatsApp commerce, 72-hour offline POS for power cuts, Delhivery and Shiprocket native integrations, and storefronts in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and 7 more Indian languages. Every one of these is built into the core platform — not a plugin, not an app, not a third-party integration you need to maintain.
Six reasons a global platform fails Indian commerce
India is not a smaller version of the US or UK market. The infrastructure, payment behaviour, regulatory framework, language diversity, and logistics reality are structurally different. Platforms that were designed for Western markets treat Indian requirements as plugins — X3 builds them in.
72-hour offline POS — not optional in India
In tier-2 and tier-3 India, power cuts are a business reality, not an edge case. A POS that goes offline during a BESCOM outage is a POS that costs you sales, creates reconciliation debt, and breaks customer trust. QuantumOS X3's offline POS caches the full product catalogue, pricing rules, discount configurations, and customer wallet balances locally on the device. Transactions queue, stock is reserved, loyalty points are awarded — everything runs identically to online mode. When connectivity restores, the full transaction history syncs in sub-second without conflicts or duplicate orders.
Tier-2/3 cities run on 3G and intermittent 4G
India has 900 million mobile internet users but median 4G speeds outside metros are 12–18 Mbps with frequent dropouts. A storefront that assumes broadband throughput will convert at 40–60% below its potential in Surat, Coimbatore, Jaipur, or Patna. X3 storefront pages are edge-rendered and served from Cloudflare's PoP network — the nearest node to a Nagpur customer is typically under 20ms away. Core Web Vitals are optimised at the build level: critical CSS is inlined, images are served in AVIF/WebP with lazy loading, and JavaScript payloads are code-split so the above-the-fold experience loads under 1.4s on 4G. The PWA caches shell assets after the first visit so return visits load instantly even on a 1-bar connection.
UPI dominates. COD is still 40–60% of e-commerce.
India processed 18.4 billion UPI transactions in March 2025 alone. UPI is not a payment option to add — it is the primary payment rail. X3 integrates Razorpay, PayU, PhonePe Business, Cashfree, and Instamojo natively. UPI intent flows, QR-based checkout, and UPI Autopay for subscription billing are first-class experiences, not after-thoughts. Simultaneously, COD remains 40–60% of D2C orders in tier-2/3 cities. X3's COD stack includes address risk scoring (to reduce RTO), COD-to-prepaid nudges with a discount incentive, and partial COD (pay part online, rest on delivery) to reduce full COD exposure. Return-to-origin rate on COD orders is tracked per PIN code and per logistics partner — giving you the data to surgically disable COD for high-RTO zones.
GST is not a plugin — it is built into every transaction
India's GST framework requires GSTIN validation on B2B orders, correct HSN-code-based tax rates applied at line-item level, e-invoicing to the IRP for turnover above the threshold, and GSTR-format exports for monthly filing. X3 ships a full GST engine: HSN code lookup across 5,000+ codes, GST rate mapping by product category and state (including interstate vs intrastate IGST/CGST+SGST split), GSTIN validation via the official GSTN API, and IRP e-invoice generation with IRN and QR code. GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B exports generate in the format accepted directly by the GSTN portal and compatible with Tally, Zoho Books, and ClearTax.
Vernacular commerce: 10+ Indian languages
English is the language of Indian commerce infrastructure, not Indian consumers. 600 million internet users in India prefer content in their regional language. X3 storefront supports locale-switched interfaces in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, and Punjabi — with Urdu on an RTL layout. Product titles, descriptions, and category names are stored per-locale in the CMS. Search indexes are built per-locale with language-appropriate tokenisation. hreflang tags are generated automatically for multilingual storefronts. Merchants manage translations in the admin CMS — no external localisation tool required.
500M+ Indians prefer WhatsApp for business
WhatsApp has 550 million active users in India. Indian consumers message businesses on WhatsApp to ask about products, check delivery status, negotiate prices, and resolve returns — without expecting to visit a website. X3's conversational commerce module embeds a full commerce flow inside WhatsApp: product discovery via natural-language queries ('show me cotton kurtas under ₹800'), collection browsing, add-to-cart, checkout with UPI/COD selection, order tracking, and return initiation — all inside the conversation thread. The NL intent engine maps queries to your live catalogue. No chatbot script maintenance; no developer required to add products.
Six Indian payment gateways, one unified checkout
Razorpay is the primary gateway with smart routing logic that monitors real-time success rates across all payment rails and falls over to alternates automatically. UPI Autopay (NACH mandate via UPI) powers subscription billing with zero PDF mandate complexity. COD is a first-class checkout path — not a workaround — with address risk scoring and COD-to-prepaid conversion nudges built in.
Razorpay
PrimaryFull integration: UPI collect, UPI intent, UPI QR, cards, net banking, wallets, EMI (no-cost and standard), and Razorpay Autopay for subscription billing. Smart routing directs transactions to the highest-success-rate rail based on real-time gateway health.
PayU
PayU LazyPay (BNPL), LazyPay EMI, and standard UPI/card/net banking. Used as a fallback when Razorpay experiences degraded success rates or for segments that prefer PayU's BNPL products.
PhonePe Business
PhonePe PG integration for storefront checkout and PhonePe POS SDK for physical store QR-based payments. Particularly effective for tier-2/3 cities where PhonePe has deep penetration.
Cashfree
Cashfree Payouts for same-day vendor settlements, affiliate commission disbursements, and COD remittance to merchant accounts. Also used as the primary gateway for marketplaces needing split payments.
Instamojo
Instamojo integration for independent sellers and early-stage D2C brands that already have Instamojo accounts. Simple onboarding, supports UPI and cards without complex KYC.
BillDesk
BillDesk SI (Standing Instruction) for recurring mandate-based subscription billing — preferred by enterprise clients who require SI over UPI Autopay for high-value subscription amounts.
COD is still 40–60% of D2C orders. Handle it intelligently.
Globally, Cash on Delivery is considered a legacy payment method. In India, it is a structural feature of the market — driven by trust gaps, lack of credit card penetration in tier-2/3 cities, and high rates of product discovery on Instagram and WhatsApp without a checkout intent. X3 does not treat COD as a fallback. The COD flow includes address-level Return-to-Origin (RTO) risk scoring using historical delivery data by PIN code and carrier — orders from high-RTO zones get a prepaid incentive nudge (typically ₹30–50 cashback or loyalty points) at checkout. Merchant analytics show RTO rate by PIN code, carrier, and product category so they can surgically disable COD for chronically high-RTO segments.
Six carriers. Automated rate shopping. One logistics dashboard.
No single carrier covers all 19,000 serviceable PIN codes in India at optimal cost and SLA. X3's logistics layer connects to all major carriers, runs automated rate shopping via Shiprocket's aggregator when cost optimisation is the priority, and falls over to the appropriate backup carrier when the primary is delayed or unavailable. NDR (non-delivery report) management, reverse pickup scheduling, and weight reconciliation are all surfaced in the OMS dashboard.

GST built into every transaction — not bolted on after the fact
India's GST framework is not a static tax table — it is a dynamic, multi-rate, state-aware system with e-invoicing mandates, ITC chain requirements, and monthly filing obligations. Building this correctly into the transaction layer means merchants cannot accidentally apply the wrong rate, issue a non-compliant invoice, or miss an e-invoicing mandate threshold. X3 handles all of it natively.
HSN Code Lookup
5,000+ HSN codes indexed with their standard GST rates (0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%) and applicable cess. Products can be assigned HSN codes in the PIM, and the correct rate is applied automatically at checkout based on category and state.
IGST / CGST+SGST Split
Interstate vs intrastate GST applied correctly at every order. When the shipping address state differs from the seller's state of supply, IGST is charged. Same-state orders apply CGST + SGST at half-rates. The rule fires automatically — no manual tax configuration per state.
GSTIN Validation
B2B buyer GSTIN is validated against the GSTN API at checkout. Invalid, suspended, or mismatched GSTINs are flagged before the order is placed. Validated GSTIN is printed on the B2B tax invoice with the buyer's registered legal name.
e-Invoice to IRP
For merchants above the e-invoicing turnover threshold, X3 submits invoice JSON to the IRP, receives the IRN (Invoice Reference Number) and digitally signed QR code, and embeds both in the PDF invoice. Fully automated — no manual IRP portal login.
GSTR-1 Export
Monthly GSTR-1 data export in the GSTN-prescribed JSON format, ready for upload to the GSTN portal directly or via Tally, Zoho Books, or ClearTax. B2B (4A), B2C large (5A), B2C small (7), credit notes, and exports are all segmented correctly.
GSTR-3B Summary
GSTR-3B summary export with outward supplies, ITC available (IGST/CGST/SGST breakdowns), and net tax payable. Reconciled against the GSTR-1 data — discrepancies are flagged before filing so errors don't cascade into the next month's returns.

Six Indian brands, live on the platform
Electronics retail, heritage foods, cycling D2C, biryani catering, multi-category retail, and imaging specialty — each with a different India-specific requirement handled natively.
The Value Store migrated off OpenCart onto X3's edge-rendered storefront — native search, multi-location stock, and a unified order ledger replace the old plugin stack. Tens of thousands of orders processed across a multi-category electronics and general retail catalog. Live at thevaluestore.in.
Aaladipattiyan
A heritage karupatti (palm-jaggery) and traditional-sweets brand from Tamil Nadu selling direct-to-consumer. Storefront with Tamil as the primary locale. WhatsApp-native order confirmations run alongside the storefront — customers can initiate and confirm orders in-chat without leaving WhatsApp. The CMS connects urban buyers to the rural farming supply chain. Live on X3 today.
12,500+ SKU cycling catalog migrated from a legacy stack onto X3 PIM and storefront. Three switchable themes (Noir, Pearl, Carbon) served from one tenant — no per-design re-platforming required. Catalog depth and theme flexibility managed from one backend. Live at store.qosx3.space.
Charminar Mehfil
Hyderabad biryani brand running a consumer restaurant storefront alongside a B2B catering quote-and-order flow — from one X3 tenant. Corporate catering clients get a self-serve quote path; the kitchen team sees aggregate demand across both channels on one backend. Restaurant retail and catering in one platform.
2,600+ product catalog stood up as a complete tenant — catalog, storefront, and three switchable seasonal themes — in days, on the same shared edge runtime as other X3 tenants. No separate infrastructure. Live at twetra.qosx3.space.
VisualPoint
VisualPoint runs a deep, attribute-rich cameras and optics catalog on a dedicated, fully isolated database — bring-your-own-DB tenant isolation in production. Migrated from Wix with structured PIM attributes (manufacturer, mount, sensor) intact for precise filtering. Razorpay handles checkout from ₹2,000 lenses to ₹1.5L camera bodies. Live on X3 today.
Razorpay + MSG91 + WhatsApp + Delhivery + offline POS = complete India commerce
Most Indian brands assemble this stack from five to eight separate tools, each with its own API key, its own billing, its own failure mode, and its own team member who needs to manage it. X3 is all of it, unified on one data layer.
UPI covers 78% of online payments in India. COD covers the rest. Both must be native, not afterthoughts.
SMS OTP for checkout auth. WhatsApp for order updates, abandoned cart recovery, and conversational commerce.
Single logistics partner doesn't cover all PIN codes. Rate shopping across carriers lowers cost per shipment by 18–25%.
Power cuts in tier-2/3 cities are a daily operational reality. An online-only POS loses sales and creates reconciliation chaos.
Non-compliance attracts notices and penalties. Building GST into the transaction layer eliminates compliance risk.
600M Indian internet users prefer regional languages. A Hindi or Tamil storefront converts 2–4x better in those markets.
X3 vs Shopify vs WooCommerce for Indian commerce
Honest comparison of India-specific capabilities. Shopify's India support is improving but relies on third-party apps. WooCommerce requires plugins for most of these. X3 ships them built in.
Flat monthly pricing in INR. No GMV percentage. No per-order fees.
Shopify charges in USD. WooCommerce is free but every plugin costs money, every plugin upgrade risks compatibility, and every integration breaks when payment gateway APIs change. X3 is priced in INR, billed monthly, with a flat fee that does not scale against your success. Razorpay and other gateway transaction fees are pass-through at standard rates — X3 does not take a cut of your payment volume.

Brands running multi-city retail operations typically find the offline POS alone justifies the Scale tier over Growth.
Razorpay charges 2% on domestic cards, 0.3–0.4% on UPI (capped at ₹1 per txn), and 0% on Razorpay wallet. These are billed directly by Razorpay — X3 does not add a markup.
MSG91 OTP SMS is billed at standard rates (₹0.15–0.25/SMS). WhatsApp Business API messages are billed at Meta's conversation-based pricing. Both pass through at cost.
Carrier shipping rates are billed by Delhivery, Shiprocket, or your carrier of choice. X3 negotiates bulk rate cards with carriers — merchants get the aggregated rate, not retail pricing.
